What is IHCenter and how are they involved with New Orleans: A Labor of Love?

International Humanities Center (IHC) is the fiscal sponsor for New Orleans: A Labor of Love. IHC’s mission is to work with other independent nonprofit organizations and sponsored projects that are devoted to a vision of ecological and humanitarian stewardship that benefits all creation. Together, we seek to reverse the current situation of pollution, disease, and disconnection by focusing efforts on creating a civilization that is centered upon love, peace and natural harmony.

To address the multiple challenges requiring immediate attention in our global community, IHC is proactively collaborating with New Orleans: A Labor of Love and other qualified projects through their 501(c)3 fiscal sponsorship program.

Is my donation tax-deductable?

All donations, no matter the dollar amount, are tax-deductible through our fiscal sponsor International Humanities Center (IHC), a nonprofit organization under Section 501(c)3 of the IRS Code.

How else can I support New Orleans: A Labor of Love?

Are you paying for volunteers to travel to the Gulf Coast?

Whlie we'd love to do so, we are unable to pay for volunteers to travel to the Gulf Coast. We are able to offer valuable tips and forums about how to plan a low-cost trip to volunteer. Our budget is committed to grassroots media activism, networking resources, volunteer education, and advocacy work on behalf of Katrina survivors.

Why do you have to raise money to recruit volunteers?

For our work to be consistently effective, we have to employ people who have a passion for technology, innovation and social change… And, that costs money. Compared to most non-profits we run our agency on a shoe-string budget and get an awful lot done through our staff, in-house volunteers, and our social networking community.

Can I make an anonymous donation?

Yes. To do so, please check the box next to anonymous when making an on-line donation or write Anonymous in the Memo field of your check or money order.

What do I receive in return for my donation?

Anyone who donates $50 or more will receive a tax receipt from our fiscal sponsor International Humanities Center. Additional visibility will be given in accordance with your giving level on our website and in any donor-related publications. For details click here.
