Change Your Profile Type (must be logged-in) 
1. Log-in to www.nolaboroflove.org.
2. Go to Profile >> My profile.
3. Click Edit >> Update your profile.
4. Click on the Info Tab.
5. Change Your Profile Type.

Contact Us
1. Go to Interact >> Contact Us.
2. Select the Department you’d like to contact and Category.
3. Enter all pertinent info including email and description.
4. Select “Save.”

Create a Profile 
1. Click “Register” in the blue bar of the www.nolaboroflove.org site header.
2. Choose a Profile Type – you can change it later, if you’d like.
3. Complete all required information fields.

Create/View a Group (must be logged-in)
Groups aka “Fan Pages” can be viewed by going to Community >> Groups.

1. To create a group log-in to www.nolaboroflove.org.
2. Go to Upload >> Create a Group.
3. Select “Create a New Group.”
4. Enter all pertinent group info including name, description, and photo.
5. Select “Save.”

Donate
1. Click Donate.
2. Select your donation method – one-time only or recurring.
3. Authorize your transaction via PayPal.
4. All donations over $50 will automatically receive a tax-receipt from International Humanities 
Center (our fiscal sponsor).
5. If you donate less than $50 and would still like a tax receipt please request one by emailing 
projects@ihcenter.org.

Invite People by manually entering email addresses (must be logged-in)
1. Log-in to www.nolaboroflove.org.
2. Go to Community >> Member Perks >> Invite People.
3. You may enter up to 50 e-mails with a customized message.
4. We will not store your contacts. 

Invite People through GMail, AOL, etc. (must be logged-in)
1. Log-in to www.nolaboroflove.org.
2. Go to Community >> Invite People. 
3. Choose an email client and enter the corresponding username and password.
4. Hit "Select."
5. We will not store your username, password, or contacts.

Member Perks - Buy Points (must be logged-in)
Our membership rewards program offers give-aways like clothes, concert tickets and restaurant 
gift certificates, based upon published guidelines for our various member participation contests.

Post/View Events (must be logged-in)
To view events go to Community >> Events.
1. To post an Event, log-in to www.nolaboroflove.org
2. Go to Upload >> Submit an Event.
3. Enter event title, date, time, description, venue, and a photo.
4. Select “Save.”

Post/View Food/Lodging Opportunities to Classifieds (must be logged-in)
You may view lodging offered/wanted, food offered/wanted, shared transportation, furniture 
offered/wanted by going to Volunteer! >> Classifieds.

1. To Post items to Classifieds, log-in to www.nolaboroflove.org.
2. Go to Upload >> Classified Ads.
3. Enter all pertinent info, including category and photos.
4. Select "Save Ad."

Post/View Photos (must be logged-in)
You may view member photos at Community >> Photos.

1. Log-in to www.nolaboroflove.org.
2. Go to Community >> Photos.
3. Select the Upload Button at the top of the page.
4. Create a new album by selecting "Create More Albums."
5. Add to a new album by clicking the “Select an Album” dropdown menu.
6. Only upload photos to which you own the copyright, that are in the public domain, or that are 
available to be shared through a creative commons license.

Post/View Trip Advisories (must be logged-in) 
Trip Advisories may be viewed at Volunteer >> Trip Advisories.

1. To post a Trip Advisory, log-in to www.nolaboroflove.org.
2. Go to Upload >> Trip Advisories.
3. Enter a Trip Advisory title, category, and advisory description with an associated website for 
users who want to do additional reading about the advisory.
4. Select “Save.”

Post/View Web Resources (must be logged-in) 
Web Resources may be viewed by going to Resources >> Media.

1. To post web-resources log-in to www.nolaboroflove.org.
2. Go to Upload >> Resources.
3. Enter the resource title, URL, a category (Article, Blog, Website, Toolkit, etc.) and, where 
appropriate, a sub-category.
4. Select the "Save" icon at the top of the page.

Post/View Videos (must be logged-in)
You may post, view or rate videos by going to Community >> Videos.

1. To post video go to Upload >> Videos.
2. Select "Upload a Video from my Computer" or "Add a Video from an External Website."
3. Select "Continue."
4. If you Upload a Video, enter Title, Description, Category, and Tags - be sure to upload video that 
you own the rights to or that is available to share through a Creative Commons License.
5. If you Add a Video from an External Website like YouTube or Google, enter a Video URL and Category.
6. Select "Save."

Post/View Gulf Coast Volunteer/Job Opportunities (must be logged-in)
To view Volunteer and Job Opportunities based in the Gulf Coast go to Volunteer! >> Volunteer 
Opportunities or Volunteer! >> Job Opportunities.

1. To post a Gulf Coast-based Volunteer or Job Opportunity, log-in to ww.nolaboroflove.org.
2. Set up a company or oganization profile, if you don't already have one.
3. Go to Upload >> Volunteer Opportunity or Upload >> Job Opportunity.
4. Enter all pertinent info.
5. Save the content you entered.

Post/View/Rate Gulf Coast Locations (must be logged-in)
To view or rate Gulf Coast Businesses go to Volunteer! >> Gulf Coast Businesses.

1. To post a Gulf Coast Business, log-in to www.nolaboroflove.org.
2. Go to Upload >> Gulf Coast Location.
3. Enter the name of the business, category type, address, hours of operation, website, and a photo.
4. All entries must be approved by a moderator – your entry will show up upon approval.

Recommend New Site Features
1. Go to Interact >> Contact Us.
2. In the Department drop down select “Recommend New Site Features.”
3. Enter all pertinent info including email and description.4. Select “Save.”

Report Tech Issues for www.nolaboroflove.org
1. Go to Interact >> Contact Us.
2. In the Department drop down select “Tech Issues;” in Category select your issue.
3. Enter all pertinent info including email and description.
4. Select “Save.”

Share/View Recipes (must be logged-in)
Gulf Coast Recipes can be viewed at Resources >> Recipes.

1. To post a recipe, log-in to www.nolaboroflove.org.
2. Go to Upload >> Recipe.
3. Post recipe title, description of ingredients and measurements, a photo, etc.
4. Select “Submit.” 

Submit an Article (must be logged-in and approved to submit articles)
Please note: only admins, moderators and NOALOL staff are set up to submit Articles to be 
published on the site. Registered users should submit text content by going to Upload >> Blog and 
selecting “Write New Entry.”

1. Log-in to www.nolaboroflove.org.
2. Go to Upload >> Articles.
3. Type away.
4. Spellcheck!!!5. Select “Save.”

Submit/View/Rate Company and Organization Profiles (must be logged-in)
Company and Organization Profiles can be viewed by going to Volunteer >> Organization Profiles or 
Volunteer >> Company Profiles.

1. To post a company/organization profile log-in to www.nolaboroflove.org.
2. Go to Upload >> Organization Profile or Upload >> Company Profile.
3. Complete all pertinent info.4. Select “Save.”

Suggest Amazon Store Recommendations (must be logged-in)
Recommended Book, Music/Audio, Game, and Video Titles can be found by going to Resources >> 
Amazon.com. New Orleans: A Labor of Love receives partial proceeds from any items you select on 
www.nolaboroflove.org and purchase on Amazon.com.

1. To suggest a new item for our Resources section, log-in to www.nolaboroflove.org.
2. Go to Resources >> Amazon.com.
3. Select “Suggest Media.
4. Enter Title and Comment – also include the ISBN/ASIN, if possible.5. Select “Save.”

Update Your Status Message (must be logged-in) 
1. Log-in to www.nolaboroflove.org.
2. Go to Profile >> My Profile
